The world is constantly changing and the publishing world is no different. That's why I was so excited to find that the author, Fiona Robyn, has decided to take a new approach to marketing and promoting her work by blogging her entire novel, Thaw, beginning March 1, 2010.
How exciting is that? Very, very exciting!
Thaw, follows a three month journal of 32-year-old Ruth, who isn't sure if she wants to be 33. She commits to writing a journal for three months before she makes her final decision--life or death.
As the world we live in is constantly evolving, we as authors, writers, readers, and bloggers must evolve, too. Why not embark upon the endless possibilities that the technology of this day and age offers us and use it freely at our disposal to benefit us and our work? Hmm...why not?
What's even more exciting is that Fiona Robyn is doing just that. And she is looking for as many people as possible to help her get the word out about Thaw and the opportunity to read it for free. Yes, you heard me right. FREE!
In return, all she is asking is for bloggers to participate in a Blogsplash on March 1, 2010, where they'll publish the first page of Ruth's diary on their blogs, with a link on the bottom to Fiona's blog so that people can continue reading.
So, if you're a blogger and would like to participate, visit Fiona's site, where you will be able to find all the information you need to take part in this exciting journey and help out a fellow author.
All I have to say is...Fiona, count me in!
