Movie Day!

Remember when you were in school (I know it seems like ages ago) and how you felt when you saw the teacher pulling the big black cart, which always carried a massive cube of a TV strapped to the top of it??

Oh, the memories. Once I saw that big, black eyesore rolling into the classroom, my day started to brighten (at least for an hour) because that meant only one thing...MOVIE DAY!!! Yippee!

So, today I've decided to pay homage to my younger self (much younger self *tear*) and host a movie day.

Wait! It gets better. I promise. Not only is today Movie Day, because that just wouldn't do. Today is Double Feature Movie Day! [See, I told you it was going to get better. You didn't believe me did you?]

And, as if all that wasn't enough, to top it off, today is Twilight & New Moon Parody Double Feature Movie Day! [Whoa, now that's a mouth full, but a delicious mouth full, nonetheless!]

First up: Twilight Parody

Second up: New Moon Parody

These wonderful parodies are compliments of the very talented and creative Hilly and Hannah Hindi of the online show The Hillywood Show. You should definitely check out their videos! Now!

PS- I swear, Hilly Hindi is the perfect clone of Kristen Stewart as Bella. Actually, now that I think of it, the entire cast all closely resemble their onscreen counterparts. And, the costume designer nailed both parodies right on the head! Seriously! Good work guys!

  1. Yay, double movie day! Thanks for posting and bringing back the squeak of the cart to my head.

  2. LOL HOT N COLD!!! OMG so true, hahaha. And the dance numbers are FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC! Wow, they put a lot of work into this!

The second one is... out there, hehe. Methinks they decided to have a little more fun with it.

  3. HA! That was cute. Actually, they both looked really close to the orginial actors!

  4. I've seen the Twilight parody before...very talented sisters for sure. They also have a Dark Knight one done to Poker Face that's pretty creepy, but very well done.
I'll watch the New Moon one when I get home from work. No video streaming here! lol.

  5. Ann - Oh, the memories! Hope you enjoyed movie day! : )

Kristan - I know, right? The first one held true to the movie...mostly. The second one was definitely for fun. I still liked it, though. And the sets looked almost identical. I bet it took forever to do those.

    Have a great weekend!

  6. Jennifer - LOL. I know. Hope you have a great day!

  7. Kristin - I haven't seen the Dark Knight one, yet. I might just have to check it out. : )

(Not because I like to waste all of my time on YouTube or anything. HA!)

Hope you like and have a great weekend!

  8. Hahahaha! OMG, these are good. I'm impressed. Like the High school Musical of Twilight. Very good. Thank you for sharing these!

  9. I'll have to come back after work! I love parodies!

  10. I'm still a student and that little blur of happiness still happens :)

Such fun videos, thanks for sharing.

  11. To everyone - Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed the parody videos and movie day!

    Have a great weekend!!!

  12. ok I kinda loved the New Moon parody. lol. they definitely had some fun with it, but it just sort of plays on how messed up Bella is.

I want to know where these girls get that kind of a budget. I mean, same truck, same yellow car, all the extras and costumes. Crazy! But very entertaining. Thanks for posting them!

  13. Eva - I know, right? : )

Kristin - LOL. I know, isn't it great?

I have no idea where they get their budget. I think they just started our small, but now their little show has taken on a life of its own. I've seen pictures of them at Comic Con and lots of other places. So, I'm sure they're getting paid, somehow. I think their costumes and sets were almost exactly the same, this time. More than last.

Hope you have a great day!

  14. Thanks for the fouble movie day!

    I love a parody. :)

This is just a quick note to let you know I left you an award at my blog:

from the desk of a writer

    All the very best,
    Corra :)

  15. Movie Day! I remember when the whole grade school would assemble in the gym (probably once a year) to watch Laurel & Hardy on a big movie screen. Does that date me?

  16. Meghan - LOL...not at all. I remember Laurel and Hardy, too. I think my work needs to institute a weekly movie day. Yeah, that sounds like a genius idea!
