Epic Fail

Hey everyone, I hope you had a fantastic weekend.

I don't know if you've noticed, but I transferred my custom domain name (www.kim-franklin.com) to my blogger page. It was a huge pain. Then again, anything technical like that always is.

However, it appears that I greatly underestimated just how much I could mess up. I was able to transfer the domain name successfully!! (Woohoo!!) However, in doing so, I've some how managed to delete all of my comments and erase myself from everyone's blogger widgets and I suspect readers, too. Go me!

Anyway, all is good, I guess. I'm not sure if I will ever be able to get all of my precious comments back, but as for the The Body Finder Giveaway, everyone who entered should have filled out the entry form, and I haven't deleted that (yet).

So, if there is a chance you wanted to enter, but got tired of reading my ridiculously long post, and somehow skipped the entry form, please revisit this post: The Body Finder Giveaway.

Also, I think I still have all of my followers. However, if you keep track of my posts via blog list widgets or possibly Google reader--or any other kind of reader-- you might have to add my new URL into the reader/list in order to see my posts.

Sorry for the mess up guys! Also, in the near future I'm going to be working with a designer on coming up with a customized design for my blog, which will also now double as my website. So you may start seeing changes and streamlining happening soon. Hopefully I won't erase anything else in the process. :)

I hope you guys have a fabulous day, and excuse me while I continue sobbing over my missing comments and everything else I messed up. :*(

PS: Please comment so I can make sure I've still have all of your info, too. I think I've gotten everyone, but there's a chance I skipped someone. Thanks, again!

  10. I used my future website name for my blog name just so I could reserve it. To avoid any problems (like what you experienced, Kimberly), I'll keep my blog as my website. Fortunately Blogger allows you to do that now. :D

  11. Kim this looks so fancy I love it!!! I hate when you try and be all fancy and it screws everything up!!! Don't worry I would never leave your side, and as for you not being in my blog roll not to worry, even if you aren't, you are special and on my sidebar so I am always aware of your awesomeness!

PS I love the new look!

  13. I updated my blogger template a while back & I'm still in recovery mode. Can't even imagine trying to change the domain name!

You still showed up in my blog list, but I updated it anyway. I don't want you to disappear! :)

  15. You've emailed me it seems to be working... isn't transferring domains a pain? I've had so many issues with that in the past...

  16. Everything looks great :) Sorry you lost all your comments, I'm sure that's frustrating. I remember how much of a pain everything was when I switched to my new domain and had to redirect everything. I'm still not sure how I managed to do it all correctly, but I'm glad it all worked out.

Come to think of it, I lost my comments in the process too, and the way I got them back was by switching back and forth from the blogspot URL to the new custom domain a few times. I still had to redirect my old custom domain through GoDaddy, but my comments came back when I toggled. Maybe that will help? Good luck!

Good job. I probably would have had to pay someone. I'm so not a techie person. :)
